The shift to industry created the suburbs.<br /><br />The shift to technology will create boom counties that once were one stop light towns. (Lawrenceburg has 6 stoplights just on the main drag!)<br /><br />But according to the theory's authors projections - we're not going to be a boom county or town.<br /><br />But perhaps a boomlet.<br /><br />Dialy 2 or 3 people from Florida or California call the Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce looking information about real estate here.<br /><br />The low property taxes and the fact that Tennesse has no state income tax are important factors... people can sell high priced city real estate, pay off their mortgage, and use the appreciation to buy fantastic homes anywhere in Middle Tennessee but including Lawrence County.<br /><br />The thing about the country is that with our new road construction, it's a fast drive to Nashville, Huntsville or smaller cities in NW Alabama but still an easy retreat back to the quiet.<br /><br />And I don't think Lawrenceburg TN is on any likely "targets" list for any zany people who make the news every night.<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/28160294-115046799711074087?l=lawrenceburg-tennessee.blogspot.com' alt='' /></div>Rev.
